Ilja Alexander has shared his latest wanderlust inspiring single, ‘Berlin’. The single, premiered yesterday and scheduled for release on Friday the 5th, can be considered an anthemic ode to the beautiful German city. While the singer himself is based in London and from Amsterdam, his love for Berlin shines through the song.

Pre-save ‘Berlin’

The singer is using this release to champion a cause that’s close to his heart – offering to donate to preserve 50 square meters (approx. 538 sq. feet) of the Brazillian Amazon Rainforest for every 100 presaves of his single, ‘Berlin’. Every year, we lose over 8 million hectares (31,000 square miles) of land to deforestation, equalling the size of roughly fourteen Manhattans every day. While the singer is doing his best to make a difference in the world, the sole responsibility shouldn’t fall on him and he aims to inspire others to act as well:

“Taking small steps really does make a difference. You can easily contribute to a better climate and world by slightly adopting a more sustainable lifestyle and by donating to tree planting and rainforest protection programs.”Ilja Alexander.
