The frailty of love is a delicate thing that twists and turns in the mind. ELIS NOA’s latest single talks about the emotional weight it can weigh on you with smooth saxophonic tones and soaring vocals to lead the way into temptation. ‘Weights’ was released today via Las Vegas Records and is accompanied by a live video of the duo performing the song.
The single is lifted from their upcoming sophomore album, I Was Just About To Leave which has already had two singles – ‘I Don’t Like It Here’ and ‘Make Me Think Of You’ revealed. Behind the ELIS NOA duo, we find Aaron and Elisa who met during their time at the Jazz Department of Vienna’s Music University. While the two have a talent for creating heartbreaking lyrics, it’s clear that there’s a deep love between them when taking into consideration the stunning imagery found on their social. Consider ourselves signed on to follow the love story that unfolds before.
The pair give us some more insight into the track: “Our latest single, ‘Weights’ is a song about indecisiveness and struggle. You want the other to be close to you but you constantly feel drained because of their avoidant behaviour and how they make you feel by pushing you away. ‘Weights’ shows feelings of warmth but also the inner fight that even though you’d be willing to give your all, it’ll never be reciprocated.”
