Today, rising star flowerovlove shares the video accompaniment to her recently released single, ‘I Gotta I Gotta’. Following the sunlit bass guitar, playful hand claps and fast-paced drums of ‘Get With You’, which showcased a captivating new direction in flowerovlove’s sound, ‘I Gotta I Gotta’ is light-hearted and carefree, bursting with irrepressible bliss. Jovial and irrefutably danceable, the latest single is packed with swanky guitar melodies and a driving four-to-the-floor rhythm. flowerovlove’s honeyed vocals take centre stage, dazzling across the arrangement with a bright and airy cadence.
The accompanying visual shows flowerovlove exploring her world and imagination, expanding the boundaries of her reality in various playful and joyous scenarios as she travels across the city. flowerovlove says: “I Gotta I Gotta is fueled by searching for where you want to go in life and not knowing where that is, but needing to go now, fearing a lack of time.”
At just 17, flowerovlove is poised for superstardom, already hotly-tipped in the music & fashion world, being picked as one of i-D, tmrw, CLASH, Notion and Nylon’s ones to watch for 2022, and seeing her as the cover star on a recent issue of Blanc Magazine. She is currently Radio 1’s Future Artist Of The Month.
Combining an affinity for nature with sunny, soothing melodies and introspective lyrics, the South Londoner released her debut EP “Think Flower” last year to wide acclaim. flowerovlove is a model in addition to being a singer-songwriter, having walked in Paris Fashion week for XULY.Bët, been the face of campaigns for brands such as Gucci and Pangaia, and sold out her first show at Laylow in London. She most recently made her rapturous live return for 2022 with a sold out show at London’s The Courtyard and has festival dates lined up across the summer and beyond, including a tour supporting Role Model.
Inspired by artists such as Tame Impala, flowerovlove is a genius when it comes to combining her passions for music, nature and fashion into a flourishing whole, showcasing a wisdom and talent well beyond her years. She uses the symbol of a flower to depict the beauty of evolution and captivate listeners’ hearts, take over their headphones, and draw attention to sustainability and preserving the earth around us. She embraces self-love and growth, describing her music as “nostalgic, versatile, mellow, warm, and the feeling of home”.
“I Gotta I Gotta” is another puzzle piece in this fresh chapter for flowerovlove and with a new project coming later this year, watch this space for more.
