Tyrin has unveiled another stellar single titled ‘A Little Bit More’ released on 15 August 2024. Known for his ability to seamlessly merge post-punk and hip hop influences, the Brooklyn-born artist delivers an enticing track that encapsulates the turmoil after a break-up.
He entered the music industry in 2010, and was initially involved in the rap scene. As Tyrin grew personally and professionally he began drawing inspiration from multiple influences, and crafted a distinct sonic palette with his band. This resulted in Tyrin developing a signature sound that’s nostalgic but still relevant and captivating.
With his latest offering ‘A Little Bit More’, he explores the complexities of relationships and personal growth. The track exudes good vibes, however its depth and honesty is what sets it apart. ‘A Little Bit More’ features introspective lyrics that dive into the emotional turbulence after a breakup. Tyrin was inspired by Outkast’s iconic single ‘Hey Ya’, and wanted to create a song that juxtaposes an uplifting tune with profound, introspective lyrics.
His stunning vocals and sonic direction draw comparisons to artists like Beach Bunny and Briston Maroney, while bringing his own twist to the genre.
Tyrin divulges: “It’s a song about realising that some relationships aren’t built to last. Letting go of comfort is the epitome of closing time. The saddest and most uplifting closing. This song came at the end of a relationship that, while having been the reason for so much of my growth, had run its course. We had outgrown it and we struggled to fly free.”
