Lil Eddie has been working behind the scenes in the music industry for multiple years. The singer-songwriter and producer has 12 Grammy nominations under his belt, two Grammy Awards and has worked with some of the most influential names in the business including Jason Derulo, Usher, Jessie J, Jennifer Lopez and Janet Jackson to name just a few.
He was discovered by Simon Cowell, and served as a vocal coach on The X Factor USA and the South American version La Banda, where he helped hone international superstars Fifth Harmony and CNCO.
Born Edwin Serrano in Spanish Harlem, New York, Lil Eddie released his debut album City of My Heart in 2009 which received overwhelming support and acclaim in Japan. This inspired the creation of his second album Already Yours, which is a culmination of his journey from Spanish Harlem to the global stage. It was originally released in Japan, and was such a chart-topper that Eddie decided to release it globally too.
Eddie shares: “After the love and success I received in Japan on my first album City of My Heart I felt like I was at home in Japan which led me to the title Already Yours for my second album as I felt embraced by the country. It was the best way I can show gratitude. I am so excited to release this body of work worldwide and hope it receives equal success as it did in Japan and other parts of Asia.”
Eddie’s knack for merging genres, vast musical influences and emotional depth into his productions has made him a go-to collaborator in the international music industry. With Already Yours, he’s in the spotlight yet again, courageously sharing his voice and heart.
The lead single ‘Guardian Angel’ features Amerie on vocals, and is a powerful elixir of hope, protection and resilience. Working with Amerie was a dream come true for Lil Eddie, as he divulges: “I have always been a fan of hers and wrote on her album so for her to sing with me on mine was a dream come true”.
