The wait is officially over for the release of GIVVEN’s EP Losing Colours via Bias Beach Records. Along with this release, they also shared another cinematic music video for the EP track ‘Doubts’. The video was of course directed by remarkable creative Rupert Höller, who has worked on all of these eye-catching and post-apocalyptic music videos that the band shared building up to the EP release.

In their previous interview (read it all here) with us, GIVVEN described their sound: “There is no “GIVVEN formula” that we follow. We tend to just try things out and see if they sound cool. The feeling we’re always looking to achieve in our music is a bit nebulous and hard to pin down, but we know it when we hear it.”

Rather focusing on the emotional elements first rather than trying to mould themselves into one genre box, the band have succeeded with a cohesive theme of introspection. The video explores the negative spirals and rabbit holes the mind can experience when you feel like you there is no hope. Using the exact female protagonist from the ‘Losing Colours’ video we follow her journey as she navigates through a ruptured volcano that could be set off easily just like her mind.
