It’s release day for Uppermost as he shares his latest track, ‘Inner Peace’ via Uppwind Records. The track was premiered yesterday via Dancing Astronaut who described it as, “a dramatic creation, composed of orchestral elements and dark, brooding beats melted together”. You can read the full premier here.
The electronic French producer’s style can vary as in ‘Inner Peace’ we see him lean heavily towards the orchestral side of electronic music, creating a space for introspection that can only come from inner peace. However, his previous album, Given By Nature is much more beat driven, with classic styles of musicians like Lemaitre coming through. You can compare the two above and below.
“For a long time I thought that the most interesting moments in life are those where big changes happen, so I was always looking for them instead of focusing on the present moment. Over the years, music has helped me understand that happiness lives in the process. I made Inner Peace as a tribute to this silent, underlying, crucial slow walk that shapes everything else.” – Uppermost shares the concept that drove the creation of the track.
Despite the soothing tones of ‘Inner Peace’, there is a complexity to the track that draws the listener in, inviting them back for multiple listens as they disect each aspect. There is a small element of drama included, as always when seaching for ones own inner peace.
