International superstar DJ David Guetta took home dance music’s biggest award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, CA. Guetta appeared at the show to receive his award for Dance Artist of the Year. Guetta took the opportunity to thank Kelly Rowland, who he was seated next to him at the award show, for taking a chance on him when they collaborated on his 2009 breakout hit “When Love Takes Over.” The track earned 7 Platinum certifications, sold over 5 million copies worldwide and served as Guetta’s first mega-smash in America.

Despite the global challenges of the last couple of years there has never been a dull moment, with him scoring a global hit with ‘Heartbreak Anthem’ alongside Little Mix and Galantis and other smashes including ‘If You Really Love Me’, ‘Bed’ with Joel Corry, and ‘Remember’ with Becky Hill, sending him to #9 most streamed artists on Spotify globally. He also released a 2021 remix of his classic ‘Memories’ after it unexpectedly went viral on Tik Tok and turned his hand to an official remix of the global Coldplay and BTS smash, ‘My Universe’.
